2005 Quiz bowl Team
Jess Cottrell, Lauren W, Liz Laprise, Jess Hoppe and our alt Hillary Breene did a great job this year. We were the youngest team at big e in a long time. Winning the first round with the highest pionts and moving on, only losing in the 4th round to New Hampshire. Overall we placed 3rd!!! beating Maine, Connecticut and Vermont! We are hoping to come back again next year and kick some butt then hopefully go onto Louisville.
2004 Quiz Bowl Team
Veronica Borden, Lauren Wolohojian, Elizabeth Laprise and Steven Kettle did a great job this year and they earned 5th place team in New England!This was the first year for each of these individuals and we are looking forward to seeing them compete for a spot on next year's team.
2003 Quiz Bowl Team Stephanie Rocha, Lydia borden, Abbie Whitford, and Brianna O'Connor were last years team. At Big E, they finished first in New England, and went on to the National Competition held in Louisville, KY. At Big E, Lydia Borden finished first with the General Knowledge Test in the Senior Category (she was placed there by accident!) and Brianna also finished first as a Junior. Stephanie Rocha finished fourth with the General Knowledge Test and received 6th High Individual! Abbie Whitford received 4th High Individual and Brianna O'Connor got 2nd High Individual! The coaches were Steve Del Pozzo, and Beryle Borden.
On November 4th, they flew to Louisville Kentucky to compete in the National Dairy Quizbowl Invitational. It was held at the North American International Livestock Exposition. The girls came in the Top 7th in the Nation, beating Minnesota and Kentucky, but losing to Pennsylvania and Maryland. Look for them in the newspaper!
